From the Field:Enchanting Lives: The Archana Model Women Empowerment

Abstract

Archana Women’s Centre (AWC) is the Kerala wing of Jyothi Jeeva Poorna Trust (JJPT)registered under the Indian Trust Act (Reg No.50). The trust is run by the Secular Institute;The Oblate Missionaries of Mary Immaculate. JJPT first began functioning in the state ofTamil Nadu from 1970. It extended its intervention activities in Kerala in 1992, andestablished the AWC at Thellakamnear Kottayam in 2006. In 2009 a training cumcoordination centre was established in Vettimukal, near Ettumanoor, in Kerala.
