Abstract

The role of the community radio as a tool for developing / developmental communication hasbeen widely discussed and debated all over India and abroad. Community radios are beinglooked upon as an alternative to the mainstream media because of its potential to address socialissues at the grassroot level. Often the main stream media fails to reach the bottom line of thesocial strata and identify their core issues. This is where the community radio plays a key role;
